Create a Lantern Pro Account

[!NOTE] Accounts are only for Lantern Pro. The free version of Lantern does not use an account.

What you will need depends on your platform:

All card purchases are auto-renewing subscriptions. Alipay purchases are one-time payments.

Choose a Plan

1. Select the Upgrade to Pro banner on the home screen, or open the menu and choose the upgrade option
2. Select a plan from the Plans screen
3. On iOS and Google Play, the store payment prompt appears now, and you add your email after paying. On desktop and sideloaded Android, you create your account first and pay after.

Add Your Email

On the Add Your Email screen you can:

• Enter an email address - a 6-digit confirmation code is sent to your email. Enter it on the Confirm Email screen. If it does not arrive, check spam and select Resend Email. See also Not Receiving Emails from Lantern.
• Continue with Google or Continue with Apple - your account is created instantly from your Google or Apple identity. No confirmation code or password is needed. Remember which one you used: you must sign in the same way later.
• Continue without Email (iOS and Google Play only) - your subscription works on this device only. A valid email address is required to use your subscription on other devices. You can add an email later; see Add an Email to an Account Created Without One.

If you see a Create Account Error saying the sign-up went wrong, the email address may already have an account. Choose Sign In instead.

Pay (desktop and sideloaded Android)

On the Choose Payment Method screen, pick card or Alipay. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and Alipay opens a payment page in your browser.

If you have paid but your subscription does not show as active right away, wait a few hours and restart Lantern. If it still does not show, see I paid but my account is not showing Pro.

Create a Password (email sign-up only)

Passwords must contain at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. After setting your password, your account is ready and Lantern Pro is active.
